A PS3 recently, I recognized my present receiver was a little bit dated, getting no HDMI in any way, so, I began looking about for a replacement. This 1 was introduced at CES and I have stored my eye on it ever since. I've had Pioneer prior to and I've usually been pleased with their receivers. I'm no Audio phile (I do not need the uber higher finish stuff), but I know great audio when I hear it, and this seemed like a great choice, particularly with the features it has for the cost. In particular, I needed as many HDMI inputs as I could get (even although I only use one now, that will alter) and a good video upscaler so I only require one output to the Tv. louis vuitton outlet deutschland I considered a couple other receivers, particularly Onkyo's new 607 as nicely as last year's models from Onkyo and Pioneer (such as their reduced end Elite receiver), but I picked this one for two primary factors: Initial, the video upscaler goes all the way to 1080p. The Onkyo 607 only goes to 1080i. 2nd, the Pioneer will convert the element electronic sign to HDMI (needed for my Wii) the Onkyo does ONLY analog, no electronic conversion, according to their specs. The 607 did have a few more HDMI inputs, but I felt the much better upscaler would suit me better in the lengthy run. This 1 also had more general attributes and HDMI inputs than final year's models from both manufacturer (unless of course you needed their greater finish $800+ models, which was much more than I had in mind). As I said, I have only experienced it a 7 days, so I'll need more time to properly verify it out, but so much I am extremely pleased with it. The audio is fantastic, the single distant now replaces my two previous ones, and it was easy to established up. If I had 1 grievance, it's that the unit does not have any S video connections, but as the Onkyo did not both, I'm guessing S video is becoming phased out for some reason. After I have had it a little lengthier I will update with any additional information, but as of now, I would suggest this receiver to anybody searching for a new unit. I recently got the High definition set up with the Samsung 52 650, Samsung Blu Ray and Samsung DVR/VCR alongside with the Comcast cable box.
